The product didn't come from a product development brief. It came from backstage. From the specific moment, repeated across thousands of shows, when a presenter walks in ten minutes before doors in an outfit that defeats every conventional mounting option.
Every product in the MagnetMate range addresses a real problem Brett encountered in the field. The BodyGrip handles the most common scenario: wireless lapel pack on a presenter with no belt, no pockets, and fabric that won't take a clip. How the Magnets Work
Each MagnetMate product uses a pair of rare-earth magnet assemblies: one on each side of the clothing. The transmitter or receiver attaches to the outer assembly. The inner assembly sits against the skin or underlayer. The two halves attract through the fabric and hold the pack in place.
The aluminium body of each product is machined from solid aluminium, not cast or pressed. The 3D-printed components are designed in Melbourne and manufactured in-house, which means geometry changes can be made quickly when new transmitter models require a new fit.
